Anushka Jain
Designer, New York
Anushka’s work as a lighting designer and artist explores how light captures and transforms the spectrum of human emotions. She strongly believes that lighting has the ability to render different possibilities into reality through the art of storytelling, drawing inspiration from the profound effect lighting has on people’s moods.
After working on multimedia art installations for retail and commercial spaces in Bangalore, India, Anushka pursued formal lighting design education at Parsons School of Design where she served as President of the LUX student lighting association. She remains an active member of the Flint Collective, contributing as a Light Artist focused on public-facing installations. In 2024, Anushka received the prestigious Richard Kelly Grant from IESNYC, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate passion and innovative approaches to light as both art and science.
Beyond her work at LOOP Lighting, Anushka continues to contribute to the lighting design field through evidence-based research, such as presenting her findings on Background Lighting in Art Galleries at the Illuminating Engineering Society Conference in New York. Her diverse design background allows her to bring fresh perspective and technical expertise to a wide range of lighting projects.
